The Profile of H.R.B.A.

The Association of Business and Retail Sales of Greece (H.R.B.A) was established in 1975 and is the exclusive representative of the major retail chains of department stores, shopping centers, large commercial enterprises, greek and multinationals, supermarkets, catering, banks and service providers.

 Members of the Association are private-law companies that are established in Greece and are the most respected names of Greek Trade and Services.

Nowadays, the members of H.R.B.A have a turnover of more than 15 billion euros, employ 125,000 people and have 15500 outlets in Greece and for multiple outlets abroad.

The main objectives of the H.R.B.A are:

  1. Service, correct information and support for consumers.
  2. The development of both Greek and cross-border Trade
  3. The liberalization of markets by regulations that create distortions in free competition.
  4. The creation by the government of a regulatory framework where consumers, workers and businesses will be able to freely shape the rules of the markets.

H.R.B.A aspires to be a state adviser on market operations, thus contributing to resolving the various issues that arise through consensual procedures.
